MERRY CHRISTMAS FOR ALL SCOOTER FANS !!!

Scooter summary 2010 >>> releases & concerts:  Scooter didn't release any new albums (except concert album "Live In Hamburg"). Only new material this year was some new versions of old hits & b-side PUCK from only one single released in 2010: "Stuck On Replay".  But this year wasn't unsuccessful for Scooter. Scooter music became official music of World ice hockey championship'2010. "Stuck On Replay" was the anthem of world championship!  Scooter successfully finished 2 tours: UTROTT Tour & Stuff The Turkey X-Mas Tour. Also they visit Russia 2 times & many other countries with concerts. Also Scooter performed on world ice hockey championship opening ceremony.  Attendance of concert during Under The Radar Over The Top tour was high: 40000 during 8 concerts. Record of attendance can be renewed in June 2011, when Scooter perform in "The Stadium Techno Inferno" concert, in which some guest stars can be appeared.  After UTROTT tour first ever Scooter Blu-ray disc "Live In Hamburg" was released. Except concert in Hamburg it contain also all videos of Scooter. Concert was also released on DVD & CD-DA.  At the second half of 2010 some Scooter concerts & whole UK tour was cancelled. It was confused many fans. >>> awards:  VIVA Comet awards - Platinum award (Most aired band on VIVA).  Album "Jumping All Over The World" became Platinum in Europe (500.000 sold copies).  Album "Under The Radar Over The Top" became Gold in Europe (100.000 sold copies). >>> former members:  2010 year starts with discussion of Ferris' interview which he did on TV at the end of 2009. He said about depressions & how he really left group. After this Ferris was appeared on official forum & create Facebook account.  Axel Coon & Jay Frog done remixes for many artists. Axel Coon also release new tracks under title Plaxx. >>> site news:  According to Scooter official forum voting my site finish 2nd :) It only from 1 vote from leader: Scooter Planet by Scar. Another great russian fan site :)  Our sites in 2010 was accredited to exclusive fan interview & Scooter's Moscow concert. Итоги 2010 года >>> релизы и выступления:  Группа не выпустила новых альбомов (кроме концертного "Live In Hamburg"), из нового материала были лишь новые версии некоторых треков и би-сайд PUCK на единственном вышедшем в 2010 году сингле "Stuck On Replay".  Тем не менее год для группы нельзя назвать провальным, наоборот, музыка группы стала официальной музыкой чемпионата мира по Хоккею на льду-2010, а "Stuck On Replay" - гимном всего чемпионата!  Группа с успехом совершила 2 тура: UTROTT Tour и Stuff The Turkey X-Mas Tour. Кроме того 2 раза побывала в России: с полноценным концертом в Москве, в клубе Milk который прошёл с аншлагом, и в рамках фестиваля радио Рекорд и MTV "СупердискотЭка" в Питере. Там они спели 4 песни, но концерт транслировался на всю Россию, что наверняка напомнило многим, что была и есть группа :) Кроме того группа выступала на церемонии открытия ЧМ по хоккею.  Посещаемость концертов основного тура была очень высокой 40000 на 8 концертах. Впрочем рекорд посещаемости Scooter попытаются побить в грядущем году - на июньском концерте The Stadium Techno Inferno, в котором по предварительной задумке будут участвовать и приглашённые исполнители.  По окончании тура был выпущен первый Blu-ray группы "Live In Hamburg", который помимо концерта содержал и все видеоклипы группы. Релиз дублировался на DVD и CD-DA носителях, но уже без сборника клипов.  В конце года, напротив, несколько концертов и целый тур по Великобритании были отменены, что вызвало обеспокоенность многих фанов. >>> награды:  VIVA Comet awards - Platinum award (самая ротируемая на телеканале VIVA группа).  Альбом "Jumping All Over The World" получил статус платинового альбома в Европе (500.000 проданных экземпляров).  Альбом "Under The Radar Over The Top" получил статус золотого альбома в Европе (100.000 проданных экземпляров). >>> бывшие участники:  Год начался с бурного обсуждения интервью Ferris'а, которое он дал на ТВ в конце 2009 года. Речь шла о депрессиях и о том, как его выгнали из группы. После этого он появился на официальном форуме и начал вести свой аккаунт в фейсбуке.  Axel Coon и Jay Frog продолжают делать ремиксы на многих исполнителей. Кроме того Аксель выпускает и собственные треки под именем Plaxx. >>> события сайта:  Сайт по итогам года занял 2 место согласно голосованию на официальном форуме. Всего один голос уступил проекту Scar'а Scooter Planet. С чем я его от души поздравляю.  Наши сайты в этом году были аккредитованы на концерт группы в Москве и эксклюзивное интервью для российских фанов. Ссылка на репортаж и интервью.  Упорные фаны обнаружили ещё 2 доселе неизвестных сообществу трека 1996 года, авторство которых закреплено за участниками Scooter: The Loop! feat. Yosemite Sam "Heureka" и Duffy Duck "Wer Oder Was".  Продолжается заполнение и обновление сканов. По возможности выкладываю 300 и 600dpi-сканы. Обновлений у меня накопилось уже на год вперёд, так что всё ещё впереди.

About Scooterr web-releasessagain! Both singles & albums - many of them contain 24 Karat Gold version of tracks. Evenn "Encore""on juno contain many non-live tracks instead Live!! "...And The Beat Goes On!!" on juno contain "FasterHarderScooter" from "24 Karat Gold" instead original 1994 totally different track (!))

И снова о веб-релизах группы. Как синглы, так и альбомы содержат треки не из оригинальных релизов, а урезанные со сборника 24 Karat Gold. Но это далеко не всё! В концертнике "Encore" некоторые концертными треки на портале juno заменены обычными не "живыми", а "...And The Beat Goes On!" на juno включает "FasterHarderScooter" со сборника "24 Karat Gold" вместо оригинального абсолютно другого трека 1994 года (!)

Scooter promised to post pictures from current tour at their official facebook page. Check it.  New Scooter interview was posted on official forum yesterday. You can read in in deutch here. Also you can read english digest by Scar here:  The interview was dedicated to Christmas concert tour Stuff The Turkey. H.P. did not say anything quite new in this interview, but there were some interesting questions and answers that I would like you to read.  Question: Will any new tracks be performed during Stuff The Turkey tour? Answer: We are working on the new album right now, and hope it will be presented to the public next spring or early next summer. But, who knows? We can make an exception and perform something from the new album, just to see how it works live. One can't decline that the things might go that way. Question: And then the critics will start growling at you again, saying that your music is nothing more than dance music. Answer: I think that our music is a kind of collage or mosaic. We are making our tracks using the existing melodies, and get something absolutely new as a final result. For example, if you listen to The Logical Song from Supertramp, before Ramp (The Logical Song) from Scooter, you will undoubtedly recognize the melody, but anyway those tracks differ one from another on the whole. I know that not everyone can understand this, but I don’t blame anyone for that, and I don’t get offended if someone just doesn't get it. Question: You started using Hip-Hop in you tracks a couple years ago, but did not use it ever since then. Answer::Yes, we did that. But we are toying with styles all the time, uniting one thing with another to see what will happen. It was not easy to work with Hip-Hop, considering the rhythm of our music. We constantly have new ideas, and that does not depend on our mood or state of mind. Now we are working with Electro, and it was a spontaneous decision, as always..

Поглядывайте теперь и туда ;)  Вчера на официальном форумы выложили интервью, которое перевёл Frontliner и полную его версию можно прочитать на форуме сайта Scooter planet.  Наиболее интересные моменты интервью по версии Scar'а:  Вопрос: Будут ли исполнены какие-то новые треки во время концертов Stuff The Turkey тура? Ответ H.P.: Мы как раз сейчас в процессе написания нового альбома, и надеемся следующей весной или ранним летом представить его вам. Но кто знает, возможно, мы попробуем в виде исключения исполнить что-то из нового альбома, чтобы посмотреть и послушать, как это звучит вживую. Такой вариант нельзя исключать. Вопрос: И вновь на вас со всех сторон посыплется критика. Будут говорить, что музыка, которую вы делаете – это всего лишь «танцульки», не больше. Ответ H.P.: Мы считаем, что наша музыка – это что-то вроде коллажа, сборки... Мы создаем наши треки из уже существующих мелодий, но в итоге получается нечто совершенно новое! К примеру, если послушать The Logical Song от Supertramp, а затем – Ramp (The Logical Song) от Scooter, то естественно, мелодия будет узнаваема, но в целом это будут два совершенно разных трека. Я знаю, что это понимают не все, и я не обижаюсь ни на кого за это. Вопрос: Пару лет назад вы экспериментировали со стилем хип-хоп. Однако после этого уже не возвращались к этому стилю... Ответ H.P.: Да, было такое. Но мы постоянно экспериментируем со стилями... Мы просто соединяем одно с другим и смотрим, что получается. Со стилем хип-хоп, кстати, не очень-то легко работать, при нашем ритме музыки. А вообще, у нас постоянно появляются какие-то новые идеи. И в основном всё происходит спонтанно, независимо от настроения или желания. В данный момент мы экспериментируем с электро, и это опять-таки спонтанно.

Official news from Scooter:  Now, as the days get shorter and darker, Scooter have locked themselves up in their studio to create a new album.  The guys are working hard to record the brand new material, which you will be able listen to on the next studio album which will be released in Spring 2011.  For all who cannot wait to hear the new stuff, the upcoming tour is warmly recommended.

Jordan interview in Sofia [translated by scootermusicuk]  Last night German techno legends Scooter delivered their first concert in Bulgaria, which if remembered at all will surely be with mixed feelings.  On the one hand, attendance at the concert was quite low, but on the other, all present were aware of what they were there and knew in detail the work of the group.  An hour before the concert we met Rick J.Jordan - composer and sound engineer of Scooter, for a short interview of what to expect now ... 1. In recent months you have been working hard in the studio on a new album, which it is expected this spring. Can you tell us any more?  Yes, we have been working really hard, but at the moment we are only at the beginning - for the moment we are only collecting ideas, and experimenting with styles. It seems that it will be different from the previous one. Of course, typical Scooter style will be maintained but there will be more progressive and electro influences. 2. You are one of the most productive groups, with 45 hits and 17 albums and constantly doing new projects - how do you change your music over the years?  The sound is constantly changing and if the beginning was much lighter and dance, with elements of rock and jazz in the last 10 years we sample different styles - hip-hop, metal, alternative. 3. You are only part of the scene, which in the past decade consistently out new things, like dubstep. What is most interesting new thing to you?  Definitely I like the progressive sound. But sometimes, frankly, I need a tribal - pure rhythm without much phishing elements. 4. What would you say is the typical Scooter sound? A phrase in the song or sound that is super catchy and sticks in your head long after the song is over? Do you purposely look for these lures?  No, rather we make music and they are born. And when processing or listen to songs that we make, I say - that is, it can be addictive phrase. Of course, Hans often deliberately invents choruses that make people scream with him while singing. 5. Another super group from Germany is currently Rammstein, with whom you have previously worked. Is this the face of German sound? Pretty hard ...  I recently read a magazine for electronic music and they say Germany is the mother of electronic music. We though in the 80's all that came from Britain, but researchers say it all started in Germany - with bands like Kraftwerk and Klaus Schulze. On the other hand, heavy metal and rock are an integral part of German musical culture. So maybe - Germany is a country with deep roots of electronic music and heavy sound. 6. In recent years, almost no global artist has become known only because of their music - contemporary musicians constantly figure out how to link it with other arts - cinema, theater, performance, dance, etc.  The three of us personally monitor and come up with concepts for our concerts. Of course we have a manager and a team of advisors and professionals, but we decide when and how it happens. Fire dancers, lights - we want everything to happen as we imagine it.

There are 5 Scooter concert was cancelled during last time: in Romania, Switzerland & Austria (Klagenfurt, Salzburg & Imst). Scooter published official statement of austrian concert cancellations on their news page:  Because of the cancellation of the concert in Klagenfurt (financial arrangements of the local organizers were not observed), the Austrian tour operator, unfortunately, was forced to cancel the concerts in Salzburg and Imst, too. Vienna is not affected and will take place.  The band regrets these cancellations very much and is looking forward to the concert in Vienna.

За последнее время 5 концертов Scooter были отменены: в Румынии, Швейцарии и в трёх городах Австрии. По поводу трёх последних Scooter опубликовали официальное заявление на своей странице новостей:  По причине отмены концерта в Клагенфурте (не было достигнуто соглашение по деньгам с местными организаторами), австрийский туроператор, к сожалению, был вынужден также отменить концерты в Зальсбурге и Имсте. Вена не коснулась этого и концерт там состоится.  Группа очень сожалеет об этих отменах и ждёт концерта в Вене.

Scooter slowly but surely are back from their well-deserved summer vacation. After H.P. was seen on 'Inas Night' on german television last week, the boys are now back in their studio to record the next album. In addition to studio work there are also some interviews scheduled before they go on tour again at the end of the month. Keep eyes and ears open, because you will see and hear more from Scooter in the near future!

(ironical) Ina: What would you like to drink? HP: As it is quite late now I would like to order a Vodka-RedBull. Ina: You are already drunken, aren't you? HP: Yes, we already had our beer. Ina: You are drinking Vodka-RedBull before the show, aren't you? HP: Yes, it is kind of our pre-show backstage ceremony, listening to loud music and drinking 2 or 3 glasses of this one and then you are in the right mood to go on stage and make party. Ina: If I would drink this amount of Vodka-RedBull you do I would miss the lyrics or muddling up the songs. Did this ever happen to you? HP: Sometimes it happens, sometimes I do not know the lyrics anymore but normally this happens not with hits, i.e. "Hyper Hyper". You could wake me up at 3AM and I would sing you the entire track without mistakes. It was our first hit so I would not forget the lyrics. Ina: It is kind of sad that peoples reduce to songs like "Hyper Hyper" or "Maria"... HP: ... and "How much is the Fish?"! Ina: Oh, totally forgot this track. HP: I think we can be very happy as we have more than one hit peoples know. There are bands who made only one hit and those bands get reduced to this song only. Ok, sometimes we get reduced to "Hyper Hyper" but fortunately we have more hits. Ina: How many hits did you produce until present time? HP: It depends on the definition of "a hit". Regarding Top 10 hits we got 22 so far but not all of them are as concised as "Hyper Hyper" or "Maria". Ina: Let us talk about the young H.P. Baxxter! You are from Leer aren't you? Do you speak the east frisian accent? HP: Only a little bit, my parents teached me standard german. Ina: When you told your parents you want to make techno music, how did they react? HP: Well, they thought I am crazy. I was finishing my secondary school exam and my mum said she wants me to learn a classical job and all I said was: No, I wanna go to Hannover to become a singer. My mum usually answered: Yeah, exactly, Hannover is waiting for Hans-Peter Geerdes from Leer. I responded: EXACTLY! Ina: But it was a long time to show your parents that you are a "Hyper Hyper" guy HP: It took a very long time, we started with a band called "Celebrate The Nun", a strange name. Ina: You had to wait 8 years for Scooter how did you stayed alive with no money as CTN was not successful? HP: First of all, we founded CTN in Hannover and we produced demos. At this time I was a huge fan of the new wave style, Depeche Mode and bands like this. Finally we had a record deal and I thought that's it, now we take off! Ina: But how did you earn your money when been without success? HP: During the time of CTN I works as a Business man for dental stuff. Ina: Do you have some funny stories of the time you worked as a Business man? HP: Not really, I used to be bored in this job, I had only the music in my head when working as a Business man. I had support from Leer, my mum used to send me bottles filled with meat but normally I did not eat it. After a very long time the locker (in which I stored the glasses) looked like a biologically collection locker. Ina: After a long time you founded Scooter. How did this happen? HP: After the failed success of CTN I worked at the music record company "Edel" in Hamburg and I did meet Jens Thele, our manager. He said: you had a studio in Hanover, would you do some remixes? First I was not very convinced about the idea but we tried it and it worked. As it was successful we began to produce "Hyper Hyper", our first official song. Ina: Was your music already called Techno? HP: Yes it was techno. At this time I was all around Germany to visit raves. Ina: What about the success of Hyper Hyper? HP: When we entered the charts we were very happy and we celebrated this in a greek restaurant. But finally my peoples had to carry me out of the restaurant as I was way too drunken. Shortly after the success of "Hyper Hyper" the boss of Edel came to us and asked for more but I still wasn't convinced as I thought "Hyper Hyper" will be a one-hit-wonder. The boss than made a deal, he said: "I will pay you as usual but go into the studio and produce a new track" and I said: "Thats a deal!". This lasted for another 2 years because after the success of our 2nd and 3rd single I still thought we will be not successful in the long future but when we released the 4th track I released that this could work and I stopped working for Edel. Ina: Would you say you are a macho? HP: mhhh, not really ... ok sometimes I am. Ina: Isn't it difficult to be Scooter (fail!) regarding your groupies and your wife? HP: It is kind of true. in the past I got presents from the boss' of the clubs we played at. One day, after a gig, the boss of a club came to me and said. "H.P., I got a present for you" and I was very curios. We went into the backstage room in which a girl was sitting and all the boss said was: "H.P., this is Almut!" ;-) Ina: Seems to be difficult, it is uncool in two ways: You can not say "yeah Almut, Hy, be mine" but it is also uncool to say: "thank you but take Almut with you" HP: I tried to talk with here and it was a very humbling beginning but after a while we had a great conversation as well as a great night. Ina: Now I am asking you questions from our audience 1. Where comes the name "Baxxter" from? HP: One of my teachers called me H.P. all the time and I liked this name. One day we had to write down our wishes for the future regarding what job we wanna have and I wrote "Singer" and a girl asked me what my name will be. I said, H.P.! She asked about the family name and I said "I do not know" and she said: "Just name you Baxxter" and I found this a great idea. Ina: Why do you write Baxxter with two x's? HP: Because Geerdes is written with 2 e's! Ina: Ah, what a smart man! 2. What is your favorite scooter song? HP: "Call Me Manana"! because we have the most pyro on stage when playing this song. Ina: You have kind of a battle with Rammstein regarding the pyros? HP: Yes, but Till of Rammstein is much crazier as I am as he sets himself on fire. But one the last concerts we had rockets flying across the audience, that looks very cool. Ina:  The unique thing about the live shows is that you are firing up pyros all the time, from the very beginning of the concert till the end. HP: Yes this is true. At our last show we had kind of a gag. Long before the show was starting we fired up 2 epic atomic booms. Later on peoples told me that this booms scared the peoples, they drop their beers and throw cola over the head of their neighbors as the peoples were very frightened about this 2 atomic booms. This was so cool! Ina: How often do you talk to you mom by phone? HP: about 2 time a week Ina: Is you mum visiting your concerts too? HP: Yes she used to be on the concerts too. 3. Did you grandmother ever visit one of you concerts? HP: No. 4: Would you perform a gig on the "Musikantenstadl"? (Musikantenstadl is a well known tv show, presenting folks music) HP: YES I would! I have kind of a touch for this kind of music as my father used to listen to it. Once we drove to Spain with some friends in a VW Beatle and created a cassette for the journey and to shock my friends I foisted a folks music song between the techno song and you know what: We liked it a lot! 5: How often do you bleach your hair? HP: Every 2 weeks, in the studios. 6: What your dream girl? HP: Simone, my wife! 7: What person do oyu wanted to meet once in your life? HP: Richi Blackmoore, from Deep Purple. Ina:  What would you say to him? HP: I do not know. I often had the offer to meet him but I was scared. You know,, Richi was kind of a hero for me, kind of an idol and I was scared to become disappointed when meeting him. So I always said no the the offers.

About TV program with H.P. appearance by Bassfire from official forum:  First of all I'd like to mention that it was a quite funny and weird program! They permanently interrupted the talks by singing shanties e.g.  H.P. was in a good mood and answered all the questions he was asked. Most of the answers he gave should be known to the forum posse, apart from some details.  He told that it was his chemistry teacher who called him H.P. for the first time, that his mum still calls him Hans-Peter and that he is shocked from time to time, when hearing that.  Unfortunatley H.P. didn't talk about upcoming releases at all... He only reported from the UTROTT tour. But what I really loved was when he sang!! He sang a Billy Idol song!! It sounded fantastic, H.P.'s voice fitted extremely well to this song and one could see that H.P. enjoyed to perform it. The best lyric of this song (White wedding) is the line "...and my hair needs to be bleached again!"). I myself wouldn't mind it, if the new album would be in such a Billy Idol genre! It was great!! video  So much about the program, but I also have to note that once again I felt how much I love Scooter, H.P. and all the background stories that are told by H.P.!

О прошедшей на днях ТВ-программе с участием H.P. Baxxter'a Bassfire с официального форума написал следующее (перевод DJ Hooligan.tk):  Первым делом хочу отметить, что это была довольно смешная и странная программа. Например, они постоянно прерывали разговор пением матросских песен.  H.P. был в хорошем настроении и отвечал на все вопросы, которые ему задавали. Большинство ответов, которые он дал, хорошо всем нам известны, кроме некоторых деталей.  Он рассказал, что впервые сокращением "H.P." его назвал учитель по химии, а его мама до сих пор называет его "Гансом-Питером", и впадает в лёгкий шок, когда это слышит :)  К сожалению H.P. ничего не поведал о грядущих релизах. Он лишь рассказал о UTTROTT-туре. Но что мне больше все понравилось - это как он спел песню Билли Айдола!! Это фантастично звучало, голос H.P. прекрасно вписался в эту песню, и было видно, что ему самому нравится её исполнять. Лучшая строчка в этой песне ("White Wedding") - "...и мои волосы снова нужно осветлять!". video  После программы я снова почувствовал, как мне сильно нравятся Scooter, H.P. и разные истории из жизни, которые он рассказывает.

Scooter concert at Poprad took place at 30.07.2010, There were no pyros nor the red light during the Intro, but the concert was great anyway. Scooter did a hell of a job. I really enjoyed it, the sound was great with no H.P.'s lyrical mistakes (like on LIH). Pitty there were lots of people who weren't actually a fans who ruined the moments a bit. I.e. 1 2 3  Концерт Scooter в Poprad состоялся 30.07.2010, Там не было пиротехнических эффектов, красного света во время Intro, но тем не менее концерт по мнению юзера Big J с официального форума удался. Scooter отыграли на все 100% H.P. не допустил ни одной запинки и ошибки (как было в Live In Hamburg). Как вам уже известно, последний релиз группы вышел на подразделении Gala Records. Совсем недавно состоялась презентация этого лейбла. Подробности можно прочитать тут. Нам из этого репортажа агенства Intermedia будут интересны следующие моменты:  Под занавес презентации был представлен 10-минутный трейлер нового релиза группы Scooter «Live In Hanburg», выпущенного «Конторой». Сергей Балдин выразил надежду, что уже осенью это шоу можно будет увидеть и услышать в Москве.  А вот и официальный сайт нового лейбла. Тут пишут о том, что Live In Hamburg в России будет выпущен в июне на DVD и Blu-Ray (Пресс-релиз справа). Кто-нибудь видел Blu-Ray?

Компания Контора планирует к выпуску специальную видео-версию грандиозного живого концерта Scooter в Гамбурге.  Запись концерта происходила во время одного из самых масштабных выступлений за всю историю группы в Гамбурге (Германия) в 2010 году.  12000 зрителей, уникальная атмосфера, сила живого звука и любимые музыкальные шедевры подарили всем ценителям хорошего Шоу незабываемые ощущения. Грандиозное шоу сочетало в себе смесь музыкальных направлений: панка и рок-н-ролла. Just like last year Scooter will take part at the Clubland Tour. The tour will pass five cities in UK, besides Scooter there will be performances by Tinchy Stryder, Ultrabeat, Roll Deep and Aggro Santos
